
Five people were killed and 14 others injured in a collision between a tempo and a semi-trailer near Khari Beri village in Jodhpur on November 16, ANI reported quoting officials.
The collision took place on State Highway 25 in the city and the injured were taken to MDM Hospital in Jodhpur for treatment, he added.
What did the hospital official say?
In an interview with ANI, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Superintendent of MDM Hospital, said that of the five deceased, three were brought dead to the hospital while 14 others are undergoing treatment.
Giving details of their medical conditions, he added: “Among the injured, one person has sustained a serious abdominal injury, another has a chest injury, one has a head injury and the remaining victims are stable.”
What happened?
Vikas Kumar also gave the details of the accident while talking to reporters. According to him, the hospital came to know about the collision between a tempo and a truck, which resulted in a fire, around seven in the morning.
He further stated that they received calls from local authorities and officials shortly after the incident. “We received calls from Gajendra Singh Shekhawat’s office, collector’s office and other places, which enabled us to come early… There have been no further casualties since then,” he added.
“There are 17 patients in total: 3 patients are brought dead and 14 are being treated. Among them, one is sick, one has an abdominal injury, one has a chest injury, and one has a head injury, the rest are stabilized with normal vital signs…”
