US President Donald Trump lashed out at Democrats on Friday amid ongoing political turmoil over convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s emails that revealed numerous references to him, asking them not to waste time with him because he has a country to run!
Communications from released emails suggested Trump ‘knew about the girls’.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Epstein was a Democrat and he is the problem of the Democrats, not the Republicans!
“Democrats are doing everything in their power to re-enact the Epstein fraud despite the DOJ releasing 50,000 pages of documents to distract from all their bad policies and losses, especially the DROP-OFF where their party is in complete disarray and has no idea what to do,” Trump said.
The president claimed that some “weak Republicans” have fallen into the clutches of Democrats because they are soft and foolish.
“Epstein was a Democrat and it’s a Democrat problem, not a Republican problem! Ask Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman and Larry Summers about Epstein, they know all about him, don’t waste your time with Trump. I have a country to run!” Trump added.
In an email sent to longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell in 2011, Jeffrey Epstein suggested Trump knew about the disgraced financier’s abuse and “spent hours” with one of the victims at his home, according to emails released by Democrats.
He added that the victim “spent hours with him at my house, he was never spoken about.”
Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking after Epstein’s death, replied: “I thought about it…”
Trump has repeatedly denied knowing about the sexual activities of his ex-boyfriend, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial, committing suicide.
According to Bloomberg, in one exchange in October 2017, Lawrence H. Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary from 1999 to 2001, predicted to Epstein that Trump’s “world was going to come crashing down.” Summers, who also served as Harvard University’s president from 2001 to 2006, complained to the disgraced financier about what he characterized as rough treatment by an unnamed man who had “hit on several women.”
