Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday, November 14, announced the signing of Tim Southee as their bowling coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The former New Zealand fast bowler, who retired from international cricket in 2014, will replace former India bowling coach Bharat Arun at the three-time champions.
Tim Southee’s addition is the latest in KKR’s bid to revamp their coaching staff. The 36-year-old joins a new group of support staff led by Abhishek Nayar, who has taken over as the team’s head coach, replacing Chandrakant Pandit.
Earlier this week, KKR announced Shane Watson as their assistant coach for the IPL 2026 season. Dwayne Bravo will continue to mentor the side that last won the title in 2024.
