
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced the ex gratia of ₹10 million for the families of all those killed in Monday’s blast near the Red Fort, which claimed 12 lives.
The Chief Minister also announced compensation ₹5 thousand for permanently disabled persons ₹2 lakh for those who sustained serious injuries in the Delhi blast that occurred on Monday evening after a high-intensity blast tore through a slow-moving car at a traffic light near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro station.

“The unfortunate incident in Delhi has left the entire city in shock. At this difficult time, the Delhi government extends its deepest condolences to all the bereaved families and those injured in the incident,” Gupta said in a post on X in Hindi.
The Delhi government stands firmly behind every affected family and has taken a compassionate decision for immediate relief, she said.
“Ex gratia amount ₹10 million will be given to the families of those who lost their lives, ₹5 thousand for those who were permanently disabled, and ₹2 thousand seriously injured. The government will also ensure proper and high-quality medical treatment for all the injured,” the post said.
“Peace and security in Delhi is our top priority. The administration is working with full vigilance and stands with all affected individuals and their families,” the post concluded.
Shah instructs the FSL to compare the samples taken from the bodies in the car that exploded
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday directed the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to compare the samples collected from the bodies in the car that exploded near Red Fort here, sources said.
He also directed the FSL to collate and examine the samples collected from the blast site in Delhi and come up with the details of the incident as soon as possible.
The orders were issued after a second security review meeting chaired by Shah.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Forensic Science Services and the Chief Director of the Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory, among others, sources said.
Shah said top investigating agencies were probing the blast and would look into the incident in depth.
