This year’s Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Jayanti will be held at the newly developed Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda Layout on June 27, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters after the preparatory meeting of Kempe Gowda Jayanthi, the Chief Minister said, “A program of planting 15 lakh saplings across the city will also be initiated. A new road will also be opened in this arrangement.”
Under the programme, he said separate teams would arrive from the four Kempegowda towers in the city. “Ramalinga Reddy, Krishna Byre Gowda, KJ George and Byrathi Suresh will be in charge of the teams for each tower in Bengaluru. The Magadi team will be led by local MLA Balakrishna and the Huliyurudurga side will be led by Ranganath,” he said, adding that the program at Kempegowda International Airport will be managed by Minister KH Muny.
