The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) on Thursday (November 6) conducted an official inspection of Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, as part of its statutory functions under Section 12(c) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993.
The visit was led by Commission Chairman Justice Shameem Akther along with Commission members and senior officials from the Telangana Government. Before visiting the geriatric ward, pediatric ward, pediatric surgery ward and other parts of the hospital, the team toured the emergency department and interacted with the medical staff on duty. They also examined certain hospital records as part of the review.
After the inspection, the president addressed the media and expressed her satisfaction with the operation of the hospital and praised the dedicated work performed especially in the pediatric surgery department.
