Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the Congress and the BRS of indulging in politics of appeasement and alleged that both parties have failed to address the real issues faced by the public.
“While people are suffering due to rising prices, distress of farmers and lack of infrastructure, the ruling parties are focusing on divisive politics,” he said at a public meeting on the JH poll in Borabanda on Thursday.
The BJP leader reiterated his party’s commitment to development and transparency while launching a scathing criticism of the Congress and the BRS. Challenging the state administration’s decision to revoke permission for party meetings, including his own, Mr. Sanjay Kumar asserted the party’s right to hold meetings and connect with people.
“Earlier we held successful meetings in the Old City. Borabanda is our stronghold and we will continue to engage with the people here,” he said, criticizing the TG government’s handling of public security and infrastructure, citing instances of law and order violations and alleged negligence in addressing citizens’ concerns.
The minister also expressed concern over alleged irregularities in the implementation of social programs and called for accountability and transparency, urging voters to demand answers from the ruling parties.
He criticized attempts to polarize voters and warned against short-term incentives falling through. At the same time, he also appealed to the voters of the majority community to unite and exercise their electoral power, asserting that the BJP was the only party committed to protect their interests and ensure inclusive development.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar invited opposition leaders for a public debate on Hyderabad’s development and said his party was ready to submit a detailed report on the central government’s contributions to the city’s growth. “The people of Jubilee Hills have a historic opportunity to bring about real change. Let us vote for development, transparency and a better future,” he said. Party chief N. Ramchander Rao and MP vice president DK Aruna were present.
