
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the third Vande Bharat Express in Kerala by flagging off the inaugural Special Train (No. 06652) Ernakulam Junction – KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express on November 8 via video conference. The main event will be held at Varanasi railway station from where the Prime Minister will announce three more Vande Bharat services – Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow Junction-Saharanpur and Firozpur Cantonment-Delhi.
The new Vande Bharat Express between Ernakulam and KSR Bengaluru will be the first inter-state Vande Bharat service for Kerala connecting the state with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. With the introduction of this service, 12 pairs of Vande Bharat trains will serve under the jurisdiction of Southern Railway.
KSR Bengaluru-Ernakulam Vande Bharat Express will pass through major cities of Kerala and Tamil Nadu including Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem before reaching Krishnarajapuram and KSR Bengaluru.
The main event in Varanasi will be telecast live in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode and Salem. The event will be attended by elected representatives, other dignitaries, students, railway passengers and the public. The train will have a warm welcome at all stations along the route. The inaugural special service will leave Ernakulam Junction at 8 AM on November 8 and reach KSR Bengaluru at 5:50 PM on the same day.
