Hyderabad experienced sudden heavy rains on Sunday evening (November 2), surprising residents and commuters alike. The city, which witnessed a bright and sunny day, saw the sky turn cloudy around sunset followed by heavy downpour in several areas.
Although Sunday meant fewer vehicles on the roads, many commuters were caught off guard by the downpour. Several people, who did not have umbrellas or raincoats, were seen sheltering under subway poles and shop fronts as rain lashed the city. The rain also led to waterlogging in several areas, including Bible House under the railway bridge, Praja Bhavan, Virinchi Hospital and parts of Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.
