The CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exams were held from May 15 to May 21. The first test cycle recorded an overall success rate of 93.70%.

CBSE’s Best Score Retention Policy protects students who take remedial exams. The board compares the marks from both attempts and automatically keeps the higher score.

Lower improvement marks are ignored. Internal assessment and practical marks remain unchanged. Absence in Phase 2 does not reduce the original score either.

Who Appeared for CBSE Phase 2 Exams?

The Phase 2 exam in May was designed for two specific types of students. It was for students who had passed their Phase 1 exams (February/March) but were not satisfied with their percentages.

This exam was also for departmental candidates. Students who failed or skipped a subject during Phase 1 had the option to delete it immediately without losing the entire academic year.
