
The celebrations will begin with floral tributes to the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari on November 1, 2025.
Dharwad-based Karnataka Vidyavardhakh Sangha will celebrate the 70th Rajyotsava by organizing a series of programs throughout November.
The events will be held in the Sangha Auditorium at 5.30pm daily.
“The events will include music, dance, folk performances, felicitation of achievers, theater and ‘Dharege Doddavaru’ programmes,” said KVS General Secretary Shankar Halagatti.
He told reporters in Dharwad that the celebrations will begin by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari on November 1. At 11 am, the newly appointed honorary vice-presidents of the Sangha, Pandurang Patil, Ajit Prasad, KB Navalagimath, Slicitiva. Veeranna Rajur will attend and Sangha president Chandrakant Bellad will preside over the function, he said.
From November 3rd to 20th, there will be music, folk and dance programs every day at 5:30 pm, with Ganesh Dev opening the series. Fifteen successful people from various disciplines will be awarded. Every day, about 300 students will interact with one successful candidate, he added.
A theater festival will be held from November 21 to 30, at which a total of 11 plays will be presented, including two for children.
In collaboration with the Karnataka University Teachers Association, the ‘Hechchevu Kannadada Deepa’ program will be organized in 15 colleges in Gadag, Haveri, Dharwad and Uttara Kannada districts, he said.
