Cheating case registered against ex-YSRCP MLC in East Godavari

Police on Monday registered two cases of cheating against former YSRCP MLC Mek Seshubab in connection with the construction and management of a rice mill under Gopalapuram police limits in East Godavari district.

According to an official report, Maintena Yellaji Rao, owner of Sai Engineering Works, filed a complaint alleging that Mr. Seshubabu threatened him after he demanded payment of ₹50 lakh for the construction of Mr. Seshubabu’s rice mill. Based on the complaint, a case of cheating was registered (No. 93/2026). The investigation is ongoing.
