HYDERABAD
Telangana United Christians and Pastors’ Association (TUCPA) has filed a complaint against Bairi Naresh, president of Bharata Nasthika Samajan, for allegedly making offensive comments about Jesus Christ.
Goneh Solomon Raj of TUCPA, in a complaint lodged with the cyber crime branch of the Hyderabad police, said that Mr. Naresh made derogatory remarks against Christ and used offensive words that hurt the sentiments of thousands of Christians in the two Telugu-speaking states.
Following such remarks, he urged the police to crack down on social media platforms that “encourage” communal discord.
