A butterfly and moth survey is to be conducted at Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary in Mulugu, Telangana from November 6 to 9. This reserve is home to diverse flora and fauna, including various species of butterflies and moths.
Organized by Orugallu WildLife Society (OWLS) in collaboration with WWF-India, Butterfly Conservation Society and Moth Society of Telangana, the survey will be conducted for four days, with participants gathering at the DFO office in Mulugu on November 6, an OWLS representative said.
The survey will take place in teams accompanied by a forest guard. It is open to individuals 18 years of age and older who are able to walk long hours and are eager to explore and learn. First preference will be given to experienced surveyors, 10% of places will be reserved for them. The participation fee is ₹ 2,000 and interested parties can apply by filling the form on or before October 15.
