Thiruvananthapuram International Airport’s winter flight schedule came into force on Monday, marking a significant 22 percent increase in weekly traffic compared to the summer flight schedule 2025. The new flight schedule, which came into effect on October 26, 2025, will remain in effect until March 28, 2026.
Under the new schedule, Thiruvananthapuram airport will handle 732 weekly air traffic movements (ATMs), up from 600 in the summer schedule of 2025. This expansion underscores the airport’s increasing connectivity and its growing preference among domestic and international airlines, the airport authorities said in a statement. New destinations added to the winter schedule include Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru and Trichy, while the frequency of flights to airports in Kannur, Kochi, Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai will be increased.
Domestic services will see a 35 percent increase, from 300 to 406 weekly ATMs, thanks to increased frequency to key metro and regional hubs. International flight traffic will see a nine percent increase from 300 weekly ATMs to 326. The frequency of connections to Dammam, Riyadh, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur and Male will also be increased according to the winter flight schedule.
“The new winter flight schedule reflects the growing importance of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport as a preferred gateway to Kerala and beyond. With better connectivity and new routes, we continue to support regional mobility and economic growth,” the airport said in a statement.
