Vellore, Ranipet and Tiruvannamalai district police will conduct a public auction of seized vehicles booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985 on October 30 at around 2 pm at the Armed Reserve (AR) parade in these districts.
According to the press release, such vehicles were seized during checks by law enforcement and criminal police units at various locations in these districts. A total of 60 vehicles are to be auctioned, including 52 two-wheelers and one autorickshaw.
Aspirants should pay a deposit of ₹5,000 (for two-wheelers) and ₹10,000 (for four-wheelers) between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the venue on the designated day. Only those who pay the deposit amount will be allowed to participate in the auction, the report said.
