Looking for a way to activate the ISD of your airtel number? International Subscriber Dial (renamed ISD) is what you need to talk to someone sitting abroad. Telecom operators charge significantly higher ISD calls than regular local and STD calls. However, Airtel and other telcos have some prepaid recharge packages and postpaid plans that offer discounts on their ISD calls or free time, allowing you to make calls over the phone.
How to activate your airtel number
By default, the basic ISD service will be activated by default for all prepaid and postpaid connections. This means that if you want to call someone abroad from your home network, you don’t have to follow any steps to activate your ISD. The FAQ page provided by the telecom operator also mentioned that there is no way to disable ISD services to customers.
Since the basic service is activated by default, all you need to do is prefix “+” with the “+” and the country code you need to make the ISD call. This process is the same for both Airtel prepaid and postpaid connections. However, if you want to make a call in a country with a call fee of more than Rs. 15. You need to activate the advanced ISD service. This can be done by visiting a nearby Airtel store or through the customer service helpline 121.

Prepaid customers on the Airtel network have ISD top-up Rs. 18 Cut ISD tariffs for 28 days. Similarly, there are Rs. 1,599 postpaid plans, including 200 minutes of 200GB of high-speed data. Details of the country codes covered in the postpaid plan can be found on the Airtel website.
Airtel postpaid customers can also purchase Rs. 50 “umbrella” add-ons will be discounted on 33 ISD calls often called destinations. The program is valid throughout the billing cycle and is applicable to countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Thailand, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Nepal, Singapore, Singapore and Sri Lanka, as well as selected regions Australia and New Zealand code. However, if you call someone in countries like Canada and Switzerland, it won’t help.
Umbrella packs can be easily activated through the Airtel Thexs App and added to your customers’ monthly bills.
