On Monday, confused by a new web browser with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. Known as Comet, the browser is mocked to include a feature called “Proxy Search”. While the AI company has not disclosed any potential release dates for its new product, it opens a sign-up waitlist, and those who sign up may receive more information about the browser being closer to its release. It is worth noting that the AI-powered search platform launched new in-depth research capabilities earlier this month. This feature allows users to obtain a comprehensive report on complex topics using test time calculation methods.
Confused to tease the Comet web browser
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), The Confused Official Handle shares a trailer video about the upcoming browser. This is a seven-second video that contains no information about the web browser and contains only new logo animations for the product. The company also touted the term “agent search” for Comet Browser, but did not explain the new proxy features that users might get.
The browser’s new micro website is also available, but for now, it’s just getting people to sign up for a waitlist. Confused may share more details about the browser getting closer to publishing. Those who register may also access the new platform as early as possible.
Agent search indicates that the browser will support AI agents locally that can perform tasks on behalf of users. While it’s hard to tell how to use it to use it, OpenAI’s operator AI agent (also available on a dedicated browser) can book online tickets, book at restaurants, and purchase products from e-commerce platforms.
In addition, confusion is hiring people who can “join us to build comets.” While several roles are currently open in the company, one job opening in particular is seeking “Browser C++ Engineer.” Its description says: “Confused AI is looking for an experienced C++ chromium engineer to join our small team and revolutionize the way people browse the internet. You will be responsible for building and expanding Comet-Confused New Browser. ”
The job role further emphasizes that confusion is building chrome-based browsers for desktops and smart phones. It is worth noting that Chromium is an open source browser project developed and maintained by Google.
