A group of men from Pittalabasti allegedly entered a restaurant in Sitaphalmandi on Friday evening and threatened its manager, accusing the establishment of selling beef and influencing the youth in its neighborhood to consume it.
According to police, the men confronted the manager and demanded that the restaurant be closed until they could speak to the owner, who was said to be in Kerala at the time. The gang also warned employees against continuing business operations in the meantime.
The Osmania University Police has registered a case and started investigation. The suspects have not yet been identified.
