The Telangana government has announced the setting up of helplines for the families of passengers involved in the tragic bus fire that occurred near Chintikuru village in Kurnool district on Friday (October 24, 2025).
Two officers were appointed to coordinate assistance and provide information to relatives of passengers. M. Sri Rama Chandra, Deputy Secretary, can be contacted at 9912919545 and E. Chitti Babu, Section Head, at 9440854433.
According to an official report, the bus was traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when it caught fire near Chintikuru village. The memorandum said the government had taken immediate steps to support the affected families.

The Director of Protocol in Hyderabad has been tasked with overseeing the functioning of the helpline to ensure that help is provided quickly and efficiently.
The memorandum was signed by K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana and copies were sent to senior officials including Director General of Police, Collector and Superintendent of Police, Gadwal District and Special Commissioner, I&PR Department.

Collector and District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao reached the accident site. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to be available at the spot and provide full support to the families of the victims. Instructions were also issued to expedite the identification of the deceased and medical assistance to the injured. Mr Santosh said the Kurnool SP would identify the bodies.
