Karnataka State Cricket Association’s Shivamogga Zone will host the Ranji Trophy match between Karnataka and Goa from October 25 to 28.
The match will be played at the KSCA stadium in Navula. A Ranji Trophy match is being held at Shivamogga after five years. The last Rajni Trophy match between Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh was held in January 2020.
MLC and former convener of Shivamogga Zone, DS Arun, told a press conference here on Thursday that IPL players including Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Shreyas Gopal, representing Karnataka, and Arjun Tendulkar, part of the Goa team, will be in Shivamogga.
He said KSCA has made all arrangements for the match at the stadium. “According to the weather forecast, we hope there will be no rain during the day. We are ready to handle any situation,” he said.
HS Sadanand, zonal convener, appealed to cricket lovers and students to witness the match. “We wish a large audience to watch the game. Entry is free,” he said.
