The Anantapur police range office on Thursday condemned the alleged derogatory remarks made by Tadipatri district chairman and senior TDP leader JC Prabhakar Reddy against Additional SP (Anantapur) Rohith Kumar Chaudhary during the Police Remembrance Day event on 21.
Speaking to the media here, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shemushi said such comments were unacceptable and would not hinder police duties. “As members of All India Services, we aim to serve the nation and the citizens. Religion, region, caste or community does not affect our work,” she said.
The DIG said the Constitution and laws are supreme and police actions resonate louder than words. “Calling an IPS officer or a government official disrespectfully violates administrative standards,” she said, adding that the police remained committed to public peace, security and law enforcement.
