Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Sharaf Group Vice Chairman Sharafuddin Sharaf in Dubai on Wednesday and discussed investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr. Naidu highlighted the state’s infrastructure, availability of skilled human resources and other conditions that suit businesses.
The Sharaf Group is a leading business conglomerate with interests in logistics, retail, real estate and IT. Mr. Naidu asked Mr. Sharaf to support AP in developing logistics parks and warehouses and invest in areas of common interest.
Mr. Sharaf expressed willingness to invest in logistics and warehousing in AP through its subsidiary Hind Terminals Private Limited. He was looking for a good location for it with excellent rail and port connectivity.
Later, Mr. Naidu also held discussions with Transworld Group Chairman Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan and explained the investment opportunities in the shipbuilding industry. The group has signed up to partner with the AP government to set up a shipbuilding unit in Dugarajapatnam.
The Chief Minister also held talks with Shamsheer Vayalil, founder chairman of Burjeel Holdings, which has expertise in medical and healthcare research and runs a cancer hospital in Abu Dhabi. The company has offered to set up a cancer center in Tirupati.
