Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday said the Telangana government will provide a supportive policy environment, incubation support and world-class infrastructure for deep-tech ventures.
Speaking at the two-day Bioinspired Frontiers 2025 conference that began here, inviting global research institutions, investors and innovators to Hyderabad, the Deputy CM said the state has emerged as a model of innovation. Startups thrive on the foundations laid by public research and science institutions, even as higher education institutions nurture the talent pool needed to sustain momentum.
“Hyderabad today is not just a destination. It is a way of thinking – inquisitive, confident and collaborative,” he said, describing the city as one where the precision of science meets the poetry of imagination. “It has been quietly shaping India’s scientific journey for more than half a century. Many of the country’s leading scientific institutions put down roots in the city during the tenure of India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru,” he added.
Stating that the ecosystem, built over decades of public investment and scientific spirit, has been strengthened by a new generation of young innovators, Mr Bhatti Vikramarka said robotics, materials science and 3D printing start-ups associated with leading institutions such as IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, University of Hyderabad and T-Works, redefined the contours of the Indian economy.
Telangana has emerged as a hub for world-class systems design, Mr. Bhatti Vikramarka said, reiterating that the state government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is committed to providing world-class infrastructure for science and technology. The state aspires to become a springboard for India’s space economy, which is poised for exponential growth in the coming decade, he said.
A number of industrial clusters are developing in and around Hyderabad, with innovation, manufacturing and sustainability at their core. The list includes aerospace manufacturing at Adibatla, E-City focused on electronics, pharmaceuticals and life sciences at Genome Valley and mobility technology at the upcoming Mobility Valley near Shamshabad, the Deputy CM’s office said in a speech.
The Bioinspired Frontiers 2025 conference is organized by Global Events of Pioneering and Advancing Quests (GEOPAQ) in cooperation with the Czech Aerospace Cluster. It seeks to explore the intersections of biomimicry, space exploration and sustainable economic development, organizers said.
