
The Federation of Associations of Telangana Higher Institutions (FATHI) has decided to close all colleges indefinitely from November 3, 2025 as the government has not released the promised fees for payment of fees.
In its extraordinary core committee meeting on Sunday, it decided to give a formal notice to the state government on October 22, followed by a meeting with the accredited college association on October 24 and consultation with students’ unions on October 25.
A general meeting of the body is scheduled for October 26 and all-party consultations are planned till November 1 to garner wider support for the movement, said K. Ramdass, representative of FATHI.
He said the FATHI committee urged the government to release funds to all non-covered schools without delay, clear fees to minority schools immediately and release all pending RTF (tuition fee reimbursement) amounts by April 1, 2026. He said the government should also disburse the secured ₹900 million by November 1, Congress leader FATHI025. Rao and influenced him to take up the issue with the government.
