Taliparamba police have registered a case against two persons accused of visa fraud and extortion of ₹4.33 lakh from a Pattuvam youth.
The accused have been identified as Pradeesh Bharathan of Charpa, Thrissur and Hebin Sajan of Wayanad. The case was registered on a complaint filed by VG Jibin, a native of Velamparrakkal, Mangalassery, Pattuvam.
According to the complaint, Bharathan promised Jibin a job in Spain and allegedly collected ₹4.33 lakh, claiming it was for visa processing.
However, Jibin was reportedly jailed in Spain after authorities discovered the visa was fake. The Taliparamba police have launched an investigation into the alleged visa fraud.
