180 days of parental leave
In a major social measure for female employees, the government has made it possible to take 180 days of parental leave at any time up to retirement, removing all age restrictions on taking it.
The Chief Minister assured that pending promotions of APSRTC employees would be cleared soon. Property tax on employee association buildings will also be waived.
Mr. Naidu announced plans to rename Class IV employees in a way that will improve their position in the system. “These measures are not just Deepavali gifts but also reflect our respect and appreciation for the invaluable role that government employees play in the development of the state,” Mr. Naidu said.
Stating that the problems of the PRC will be solved soon, he said that the matters related to CPS and OPS will be discussed at the Cabinet sub-committee level and that the government is trying to solve them.
