Telugu Desam Party Andhra Pradesh Nayee Brahmin Sadhikara Samithi President Vaidyam Shantharam reiterated that the entire community is on the side of the TDP-led NDA government in the state as they are attracted to initiatives for the benefit of marginalized communities.
Addressing a community meeting here on Wednesday, Mr. Shantaram, who is also a member of the TTD trust committee, recalled that the present government had increased the wages of barbers working in temples from ₹20,000 to ₹25,000.
He promised to appeal to the state government to provide an additional 200 free power units (on top of the existing 200 free units) for hair salons in the state.
Mr. Shantaram also said that he would seek to build ‘Community Bhavans’ in all the 175 Assembly constituencies in the state. “The government has delivered over 90% of the promises made to our community and we are happy to accept this proposal,” he said.
