The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) Council said it was shifting the High Court to extend the extent of the ongoing special investigation team (SIT) about alleged abuse of golden copper forms in 2019.
After chairing the highest level on Tuesday, President TDB PSANTH said that the Board of Directors wants the SIT to explore the 1998 temple transactions, the industrialist Vijay Mallya donated the temple golden covers.
Mr. Prasanth also announced the suspension of the employee Sunil Kumar, whom SIT was named as accused in a company (filed with a judge in the morning). Previously, TDB suspended the temple manager, Murari Babu.
Mr. Prasanth said that SIT had appointed seven TDB officials in retirement as suspicious. “TDB has set a deadline for them for ten days to submit explanations to the Board of Directors according to the provisions of the Keral Service. The Council is entitled to withdraw or suspend their pensions and other benefits if the court condemns them.
Mr. Prasanth killed the leader of the opposition VD Satheesan for alleged politicization of controversy. He asked the opposition to detain his fire until SIT has given the Supreme Court report for “six weeks”.
He said that if the opposition does not trust an investigation with a monitored SIT High Court, the court should say instead of “laying a smoke screen of lies” when TDB prepared for the host of President Murmu and Lakh Ayyapp.
Meanwhile, the rapidly expanding SIT probe allegedly got into Hyderabad, in the middle of the report that the temple artifacts were held in the house of a rich collector for private worship on the way to the Chennai factory to restore in 2019.
The wing of the Vigilance TDB announced to the High Court that the artifacts remained in custody of the main suspect, Unnikrishnan Potti, for 39 days before “restored and returned to the temple”, increasing the possibility of replication of mold and selling original castings for private collectors for private fighting.
