
Malavika Binny, professor, Department of History, Kannur University, was chosen as an inheritance boy for 2026-2027 from India at the prestigious Kate Hamburger center for advanced studies at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany.
Binny’s work on critical caste studies focused on caste artifacts or correlation between what is understood as the materials of heritage and caste.
She is a co -founder of the work entitled “The goddess of South Asia; tradition and transformation” and the author of the upcoming work “Polyphonic Ayurveda”. She was the recipient of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship to visit the PhD during his / her doctoral studio at Jawaharlal Nezru University and the recipient of the Kunjan Pillai Young Historian Award, introduced by the Ceral History Congress.
