The workers hostels built by the government of Tamil Nadu in the industrial estate Kurichi Sidco has passengers for 26 of its 116 rooms.
The remaining rooms will receive passengers after Deepavali, because several guests went home at the festival, said Small Industries Corporation (Sidco) official.
The hostel, which has 528 rooms and is spread over 1,49 acres, was built at 23.05 GBP to take 528 workers and in March this year inaugurated by the main Minister of MK Stalin. The rooms are two types (430 square feet and 394 square feet) – one for the name of only workers and the other is for workers who are here with their family members.
However, industry owners in the Sidco industry in Kurich have the feeling that rooms do not have to get more customers. “In fact, the number of units of units will decrease after they have been deep, because many may not return. At first, Coimbatore Sidco Industrial Estate Manufacturers’ Association has signed an understanding of understanding with SIDCO to offer rooms at £ 1. GBP for maintenance.
The government has built a similar facility for workers in Ambattur Industrial Estate, and there was also no association able to get passengers in rooms. Any device created by the government should not look at the project’s income, but how it can be useful to the public. MSME cannot afford such a high rent, so it is difficult to find a hostel customers, said the owner of the MSME unit in Sidco Estate.
