There is an investigation into the murder after the British police arrested two men to suspect the former singer Lostprophets Ian Watkins in prison in northern England.
Watkins was stabbed on Saturday morning to death in prison premises, where a 48 -year -old artist performed a 29 -year sentence for crimes for children.
Both suspects, at the age of 25 and 43, were detained after sting, as PTI states.
The details of the attack
On Saturday morning after Watkins was attacked by a knife, Wakefield was called on emergency services. He was declared dead on the scene.
Resources of prison said they were on the scene, but could not save it and describe it as a terrible scene with blood, alarms and ezal sirens, the Sun report.
“Watkins was killed in the most brutal way – and the attack was shocking, even according to prison standards,” the sun quoted the source.
The singer was previously stabbed in the same prison in 2023, but he managed to escape without suffering a life -threatening injury. During this attack, he was reported to be hostage other other prisoners than they were liberated by prison officers six hours later.
What were the accused against Ian Watkins?
In 2013, when Watkins was a 36 -year -old man, he confessed to a total of 13 accusations on children’s abuse at Cardiff Crown Court in Wales. The numbers included an attempt to rape a child, sexually touched on a 1 -year -old, encouraging fan to abuse their child and create child pornography.
At the time of his condemnation, Judge John Royce described Watkins as a “manipulative and dangerous sexual predator” who misused his glory to help satisfy his “insatiable lust”, PTI reported.
“Those who have appeared in these courts for many years see a large number of terrible cases,” Royce said at Cardiff Crown Court. “But this case breaks the new ground.”
Watkins was the main singer Welsh Rock Band Lostprophets, which in 2006 reached the British charts with the third album of the band “Liberation Transmission”. The band announced the dissolution after the arrest of Watkins.
