“Only the heart that feels the suffering of other beings as their own can bring true consolation,” said writer Sara Joseph, and on Saturday she dealt with a rally at the world hospice and palliative care organized by Pain & Palliative Care, Thrissur.
“Empathy – the ability to perceive another sadness – is a virtue that every human being must raise. Society has long delayed a serious conversation about the right to peace death,” she said.
When they spoke in the Changampuzha Hall in Kerala Sahitya Academy, E. Divadaran, co -founder of Pain & Palliative Care Society, Thrissur, elaborated this year’s global theme “Achieving: Universal approach to palliative care”.
He said that palliative care offered comprehensive support to people suffering from serious illnesses or age -related conditions as well as for their families. “Kerala continues to lead the nation in the extension of palliative care, largely due to the active involvement of the younger generation,” Dr. Division.
“Only through the participation of community and integrating palliative care in each layer of health care focused on the patient can we realize the vision of palliative care for all,” he added.
