
Three students of the Anganwadi Government Center were admitted to Taluk’s government hospital in Vandavasi, Vandavasi, Truvannamai on Taluk, after drinking thinner colors, which thought of a cold drink.
Police identified S. Vishnu, 4, K. Madhan Raj, 4 and S. Sudarshan, 3, as disabled students of the center, all residents of the village of Meesanallur. The initial question revealed that the center, which has 20 children, including girls, was undergoing reconstruction, including painting work. As part of the work, the painters filled the empty cool bottle of drink with thinner color, which included turpentine for mixing with raw color.
When the painters went for a break for tea, the students took a bottle and drank from it. They felt uncomfortable and complained of the staff that checked the bottle and found it thinner.
The students were immediately admitted to the Taluk Government Hospital in Vandavas. Later they were handed over to the Government Faculty of Medicine in ChengalPatt. Health officials stated that the condition of the affected students was stable. The Thellar Police was registered. The probe is running.
