On Thursday (October 9, 2025), the officials launched a demolition unit focused on 186 illegal structures belonging to individuals accused of participating in an incident with stone baking in the Gandhinagar district in Gujarat during the recent festival.
On the night of September 24th, members of the minority community reportedly vandalized several shops and vehicles and stuffed stones in the village of Bahiyal, who were about 38 km from Gandhinagar after an inappropriate contribution to social media.
The police detained more than 60 people in connection with violence, which included more than 200 individuals. According to officials, several shops and vehicles were damaged and some were ignited during the unrest.
On Thursday (October 9, 2025), local authorities began demolishing 186 illegal business facilities in the village, the police said. Identified illegal properties belonged to those who participated in the incident of the unrest, and approximately 50 accused are historical letters, the police added.
The demolition unit was carried out under strict security, with a deployment of about 300 police staff and in the presence of a sub-diameter municipality and officials Panchayat was supplied by an officer.
Violence last month was caused by a contribution to the social media, which was angry with members of the minority community, who then focused on the man who recorded the content.
