
Police in Chandigarh filed a company based on the “final note”, which was behind the officer of Haryan IPS Y Puran Kumara, who was found on October 7, found dead in his residence in the Union.

Around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, his daughter Y Puran Kumara found that he was dead in the basement of her home in Chandigarh. Amneet Puran Kumar claimed that the prolonged administrative persecution eventually caused his husband to take an extreme step.
The complaint further mentions that the company was registered against one of the employees of Puran Kumar in Rohtak on 6 October, the day before his death, under the alleged leadership of DGP. The complaint described this as “planned plot” to falsely involve her husband. The company also refers to an eight -page suicide note obtained from an officer in which he described in detail the alleged harassment and named several officers.
In his statement, Kumar said her husband repeatedly informed her that she was focused and discriminated against on the basis of caste, and that his more written complaints were ignored. She argued that, despite the approaching higher officials, including DGPs, no relief was given.
“Class -based humiliation”
The late “Final Note” of the late IPS of 7 October 2025 reportedly describes the years of humiliation and mental harassment based on caste higher officers, including former DGPs and administrative officials. The police took the matter and registered the reason for the investigation under the relevant provisions. Inspector Jaiveer Singh Rana from the Police in Chandigarh was assigned to investigate the case.
