
During the joint operation of the Narsingi and the elite action group for enforcement (Eagle), two members of the drug sales gang were arrested. Officials confiscated 107.4 grams of cocaine worth 7.5 ₹ Lakh.
The individuals were identified as Siram Ananth Kumar, 50 and Perura Veerababu (32 years), both Hyderabad residents, while their collaborator Karthikey Shekar, who allegedly supplied cocaine of Bombai, remains in retreat.
After the tip, the duo was arrested as they tried to sell a smuggler near Manchirevula.
The investigation revealed that Ananth Kumar has been the usual user of cocaine since 2017, bought smuggling from Karthikeya Shekar in Mumbai. He sold a substance in Hyderabad with the help of Veerababa, which helped to obtain clients and deliver.
The case has been reserved and further investigations are underway.
