Revanth Reddy puts officials on high alert amid heavy rains

In view of reports of heavy rains in several areas of the state capital, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed all key departments and agencies operating in the Core Urban Region (CURE) to remain on high alert and ensure uninterrupted civic services across the city.

The Chief Minister has directed senior officials from various departments including police, traffic police, city administration, HYDRAA, electricity distribution agencies, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board and other concerned departments to closely monitor the situation and respond quickly.

Mr. Reddy called an emergency meeting in the war room with top officials, including Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and the Special Chief Secretary overseeing CURE operations, to review preparedness and coordinate response measures.

In a post on social media, the CMO said the Chief Minister has directed the authorities to maintain real-time monitoring of weather conditions and developments at the ground level to minimize disruptions. Officials have been instructed to deploy emergency teams in vulnerable areas and remain ready to deal with waterlogging, traffic jams, power outages and other rain-related issues.
