
Andhra Pradesh Minister for the Municipal Administration of P. Narayan on Tuesday addresses a workshop in Amaravati.
The Minister of the Municipal Administration and the Development of the Cities of P. Narayan ordered the city commissioners to ensure effective management of solid and liquid waste, drainage systems, roads and street lighting in their respective areas.
Mr. Narayana stressed that the government favors the development of urban infrastructure and called on officials to complete the projects in the specified timelines.
Narayana focused on a three -day workshop for city commissioners and engineers at the Directorate of the Municipal Administration on Tuesday and reviewed ongoing projects in 77 municipalities. The first day was attended by representatives of 29 municipalities.
Mr. Narayana said that 85 Lakh MT was already cleaned and another 20 Lakh MT will be removed by December this year.
“Since January 2026, all urban solid waste will be scientifically processed,” the Minister said, announcing that, in addition to the existing two, six new plants would be set up from waste of energy to express all municipalities.
Within the AMRUT 2.0 system, the Minister said the government focused on drinking water 90% of households in two years. The instructions that completed Tidco houses were assigned to recipients every Saturday and that 100% construction will be completed by June next.
The seminar was attended by the City Director of P. Sampath Kumar, Tidco CEO B. Sunil Kumar Reddy and the chief engineer M. Prabhakar Rao.
