US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that there was a “real chance” of the peace agreement in Gaza, days after venting his frustration to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for being so negative.
“We are very close to concluding an agreement in the Middle East, which will bring peace to the Middle East,” the US president told reporters in an oval office in the presence of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
“There is a real chance that we could do something,” Trump quoted AFP like he said.
Trump also said that American negotiators were involved in interviews that are now taking place in Egypt. From the White House, Trump’s special envoy of Steve Witkoff and the brother -in -law Jared Kushner participates in these meetings.
“I think there is a possibility that we could have peace in the Middle East. It’s something beyond the situation in Gaza. We want to release the hostage immediately,” Trump said, added, “Our team is there now, another team has just left and other countries, literally every country in the world, supported the plan.”
He also claimed that the United States would do “everything to make sure everyone is adhered to by agreements” if Hamas and Israel agree to the ceasefire and end the two -year war.
Peace conversations enter 2 on 2. On the 2nd anniversary of the war
Senior Egyptian official involved in interviews about the ceasefire spoke to the Associated Agency Associated Press on the basis of anonymity, said Hamas demanded that Israel would not return to war after the remaining 48 hostages acquired in October 7, 2023.
On the other hand, Netanyahu said that the war would end, until after returning all hostages and Hamas was disarmed. He accepted Trump’s plan that requires Gaza to be placed under international administration and Hamas disarmed, elements that militants still have to accept.
A number of international observers, including those entrusted with the UN body, said the assault Israel in Gaza in Gaza equals genocide, consistently denied the accusation of Tel Aviv.
