On Tuesday (October 7, 2025), twenty-two pilgrims were injured when the bus is inverted on the Lakhimpur-Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, the police said.
The bus, which carried pilgrims from Bhing in the Shrawasti district, returned from Manoun Dham in Bareilly, when the accident near the forest nainiha, the head of the sub-inspector Ajai Pratap Yadav of the Motipur PTI police station. The official said the accident occurred when the driver tried to avoid a collision with the upcoming truck.
All 22 injured passengers were transported to the primary medical center Motipur and their condition is reported to be out of danger. Passengers on the spot said there were about 70 people on board, several of whom suffered injuries and fractures.
In his statement issued by the Chief Minister (CMO), CM Yogi Adityanath expressed concern about the accident and ordered the officials to immediately reach places and accelerate the auxiliary operations. He also ordered the district administration to ensure proper treatment of the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.
