Representative of Commissioner Mandy Kumar expressed serious concern about the poor performance of the district during the SSLC test, where 2,864 students failed at the exam, although it was carried out in three phases.
Dr. Kumar, who spoke at the inspection meeting on the performance of the school and analyze the results of SSLC, said that Mandya has 472 secondary schools, including 251 government, 92 assistance and 132 unlimited institutions. While the total percentage of the SSLC passing was 66.14, Mandya was doing a little better at 69.26%.
However, the performance of the district was considered disappointment, which caused the Commissioner’s representative to demand introspection between teachers.
Between the talkes, Kr Pet was placed on the eighth auditorium, in terms of performance, with 984 students failed in the exam.
Dr. Kumar urged teachers to explore the reasons for these failures and try to improve the academic future of students.
He expressed concern over 3,187 students who failed in Cannada, noted that the supported schools did not reach compared to government institutions and ordered officials to watch them carefully. He also warned that measures against auxiliary management of schools that constantly show bad results.
The Commissioner’s deputy ordered that directors have recorded below 40% for the last two years for a special meeting, adding that these institutions have already been issued a notice. He informed that two schools recorded a percentage of zero passage, which he described as a sign of lack of motivation among some teachers.
“The directors should have personal interest and responsibility for improving their school,” he said.
Dr. Kumar urged schools to cooperate with a renewed commitment so that the Mandya district could rank among the top five districts next year.
Zilla CEO Panchayat Kr Nandini said that teachers are well aware of methods to improve results and advise schools with less than 40 percent of the passage to prepare a comprehensive action plan. She expressed a horror of a large number of Kannada failures in the district known for her linguistic pride, urging the teachers to put the same emphasis on language subjects.
On this occasion, the deputy of the Commissioner and the CEO Feliilitated the heads of schools, which ensured 100% results in the SSLC test in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
