A middle -aged woman reportedly attacked her smaller daughter to marry her son -in -law. The incident was reported from the KVB Puram St Colony of Tirupati District on Sunday (October 5, 2025).
According to the police, the defendant B. Venkatamm (40) received her smaller daughter at the age of 17 years married for M. Charan (20) three months ago. Later she allegedly entered an illegal relationship with her brother -in -law. When her daughter protested against their relationship and their plan to marry, Venkatamma attacked her with abrasive stone.
Members of the family rushed the girl to the local hospital for treatment. Police KVB Puram registered the case, although the community leaders were putting pressure to abolish the accusation because the victim was minors.
