The Minister of the Union Nitin Gadkari on Saturday (October 4, 2025) called for technology and rules according to global standards in the aviation sector, including the air traffic control area.
Mr. Gadkari spoke about the inauguration of a three -day annual event about civil aviation organized by the Indian air traffic administrator. “The air sector has tremendous potential because the number of airports in the country has increased from 75 to 150,” said Mr. Gadkari, adding that the sector has witnessed 22% of growth in recent years.
“Nagpur is located in the center of the country and may become a control center of the entire air traffic control in India,” he said.
“It is necessary to cancel old and outdated rules and bring new rules according to global standards without threatening safety,” said the Minister, adding that the new rules will be listed in this industry.
“The role of air traffic administrators is very important for the dream” Viksit Bharat “(developed India),” he said. He noted that their work includes a great risk and their work makes the aerial sector safe.
