In order to solve the question of early completion of his studies in his village, he taught a government school from Bashettii in Doddaballapur Taluk far beyond his learning duties. He noticed that the lack of high school had forced children to interrupt their studies after primary education, first convinced the government to establish it in the village. He then mobilized more than 3 crore in CSR posts from various companies to expand and modernize the institution.
The government opened high school in 2007 after repeated applications. At that time the school had only three classrooms, two toilets and about 100 to 120 students. Director of Narayanaswamy R., a native of the same village, saw first -hand children, especially girls, after class 7, determined to change it, began to address societies, foundations and social organizations about support.
From wheels to intelligent laboratory
Over the years, the obtained funds have been used to expand the campus to 22 classrooms spread over three new blocks, establishing intelligent records, stems and computer laboratories, creating an auditorium and improving hygiene. Particular attention was paid to the solution of obstacles held by girls outside school. With the help of a rotary club, the wheels were distributed so that girls living in distant areas can travel safely. CSR contributions were also funded by automatic machines and incineration rooms of sanitary pads and ensured hygiene.

This year, Mr. Narayanaswamy also secured 16 Lakh in CSR funds, which he plans to direct to new initiatives. “Some of the money will be used to ensure the coaching of KAS, IAS and IPS for students at school, which will provide them with timely exposure to the preparation of the competitive examination. The remaining funds are earmarked for other programs for strengthening academics and the overall development of students,” he said.
Corporate support
The school was also selected as part of the Atalu Union’s innovation mission to host the Atal Laboratory. The laboratory, equipped with tools for robotics, electronics and programming, caused curiosity among students. “Children who once hesitated in academic staff now come to life in the laboratory. They want to know how things work and how to create something new,” said Roopa, teacher.
Several companies in their initiative supported Mr. Narayanaswamy. Musashi Auto Parts India Private Limited, Bharti Airtel Foundation, Rittal Private Limited, among other things, funded equipment and part of the infrastructure, while the family of the former cricket anil Kumble helped build toilets, main infrastructure and auditorium.
