Congress MEP Imran Masood and Samajwadi Mla Shahnavaz Khan prevented the police from visiting the hit-Hit Bareilly on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).
Both leaders were supposed to travel to the city by a morning train to meet some police officers, but on Tuesday (September 30) the night was limited to their residences.
Since then, the police team has been a guard outside their homes.
However, the police have not yet explained any statement.
Mr. Masood, who addressed reporters in his residence, said, “We are watching Gandhian ideology. We should have left at 6.50 in the morning to meet Bareilly with kicking and ADG and returning to 13:30, but the government uses such tactics to hide its failure.” Asked if their visit could deteriorate the situation in Bareilly, Masood answered: “It is the government and the police who have made the situation unusual. Muslims are selectively focused. One set of laws applies to us, the other to others.” The violent clashes were witnesses in Bareilly 26.
The Nespusky triggered the abolition of the proposed protest over a number of posters “I Love Muhammad” called Khan.
Meanwhile, Mr. Masood also mentioned the incidents in Fatehpur and Muzaffarnagar and claimed that the attacks on religious places and looting did not check while the peacemakers were treated with heavy hand.
“If such an atmosphere prevails in the country, then people must remain careful,” he said.
