Among other things, the municipal police registered against the head of the mosque for the alleged marriage of a sixteen -year -old girl in Anepalya a few days ago. They were booked according to the Act on Restriction of Children of Children of 1929.
The incident came out when the city advocate, Hussain Owais S., leaned out the marriage of a sixteen -year -old girl with a 20 -year -old boy, filed a complaint against state chiefs and the municipal police, and a children’s care committee and sought immediate steps. Yet it was four days before the Cubbon Park police registered this case, the sources said. The lawyer pointed out that Minister Siddaramaiah recently ordered all officials in the state to take strict measures against child marriage.

Mr. Owais, Pundalik, a member of the District Children’s Line, has sent a team to ask the case in the Neelasandra mosque. However, the head of the mosque refused to provide them with details and stated that the marital procedure was completed according to the customs of the Muslim community.
“Based on the complaint we received and reviewed the available photo and video evidence, the girl is said to be a minor and the marriage is responsible for prosecution,” Pundalik said in his complaint.
Mr. Owais, spoke to Hindu, claiming that the police were delayed by taking measures to ensure the security of the victim. He argued that, despite the details of the accused, their names in the company did not take into account to obtain a copy they had to join court.
He also asked the police to save the girl and undergo a medical examination because she was suspected of being pregnant.
