The 22 -year -old student was killed when a fast car knocked her down while negotiating the wrong part of the road near Budigere Cross at the limits of the Avalhalli police station.
The victim identified himself as Dhanushree, Hoskote resident and a student of the last year of BCOM at a private university. On the way to college while Boodigere Cross passed, she tried to avoid a bad stain of the road when the truck knocked her from behind. Dhanushree lost his balance and slipped under a moving truck and was killed on the spot.
The truck driver escaped soon after the accident. The police rushed to the place and moved the body to the autopsy while registering the case of the intervention and running against the driver. Police gained shots from the CCTV camera for further investigation, while passers -by turned their anger and accused the bad section of the road for an accident.
A week ago, Varthur and Gunjur residents organized a peaceful protest requiring a road without potholes and the urgent development of the nearby Varthur-Gunjur section, which became dangerous due to poor maintenance.
The inhabitants, including children and older citizens, stood with signs who called for safer roads that quoted repeated accidents and a recent school bus incident that disintegrated as examples of civic mess in this area. Their requirements include the revival of the road, installation of traffic signals and overturning and long -term improvements in infrastructure.
