The Ministry of the Environment has launched steps to restore operations of non -functional monitoring stations for the monitoring of the ambient air (CAAQMS) in Ernacula.
The ministry said the district has three CAAQMS in Eloor, drowning and Jawaharal Nezru Stadium Metro Station, Kaloor. Of these, the station in Eloor is functional, said in response from 28 September 2025 on the petition submitted by A. Rajagopal Kammath of Eroor South 8 June 2025.
The station, located at the Stadium Metro stadium, was previously installed in the sematti in ducks, but had to be switched off 19 November 2022 to move. The previous comprehensive annual maintenance agreement with the CAAQMS operation and maintenance company in the Proptile and Kaloor expired on October 22, 2023.
Given that the supplier quoted a disproportionately high level of recovery, the proposal was not accepted. The Meeting of the Technical Commission, which took place on March 4, 2024, decided to invite fresh offers to the annual CAAQMS maintenance agreement in Proptile and Kaloor together with similar stations in other districts, said.
The offer was published on July 28, 2025 and the last date of the submission was 27 August 2025. The station also flew the Kaloor has a power supply device for connecting and backing up the power supply. According to the ministry, it will be fully functional after the offer of the bidding and the deployment of suitable operators.
