The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (September 29, 2025) compared the final of India in Pakistan in the Asian Cup to Sindoor Operation and said the result remained the same and India won.
He said on X: “Sindoor operation on the pitch. The result is the same – India wins! Congratulations to our crickets.” India named her military operation “Sindoor” after the terrorist attack Pahalgam.

President Droucadi Murmu congratulated the India team to win the Asia Cup Cricket Tournament.
“My deadest congratulations of India’s team for victory in the Asia Cup cricket tournament. The team did not lose any match in the tournament and described its dominance in the game. I wish the India team would maintain fame in the future,” Mrs. Murmu said in the X post.
